Below is an article from the Middlesboro Daily News about Dr. Paul’s recent visit to the area.
PINEVILLE — Election day is a little more than a month away and Dr. Rand Paul, Republican candidate for the United States Senate, is on the road greeting people across the state.
This week, Paul has been touring eastern Kentucky, and on Wednesday morning, he stopped in Bell County to connect with local supporters.
Kentucky Senate President David Williams, who recently announced his bid for governor, was in Pineville to support Dr. Paul.
“We’re very positive about how the fall campaign is going. We’re here to support Dr. Paul, because he supports the coal industry,” Williams said. “He wants to reduce taxes and expenditures so we can keep our country strong.”
Paul visited Middlesboro earlier in the year during his campaign for the Republican nomination against Secretary of State Trey Grayson. Paul is now facing Attorney General Jack Conway in the November election.
